Memorials are provided as a physical way of remembering loved ones and helping to celebrate their life. At Arnos Vale we recognise the importance of remembering loved ones in this way and we have developed a range of carefully selected personalised memorials for your consideration.

Temporary Grave Markers
The memorial wall for granite plaques is an enclosed area located next to the beautifully restored Spielman Centre. The wall is easily accessible to pedestrians and close to our parking area. The memorial wall and its enclosed area were designed to give a feeling of sanctuary and a place of peacefulness for quiet contemplation of loved ones as well as a place to lay flowers on anniversaries and at special times of the year.
Memorial plaques are available in black granite in standard or double size. Each plaque is engraved and infilled with a choice of silver or gold lettering with the option to add a personal design. A further special touch is the opportunity to place a photograph of your loved one set on a porcelain cameo on the plaque.
The wall of Garden of Rest One is soon to be renovated and will provide a wonderful canvass for our beautifully finished cast bronze plaques. These are available in one size and are cast in bronze and finished in heritage green. The bronze lettering provides the perfect compliment.
These plaques may also be mounted into one of our stone benches set in the wall winding its way up to the top of the cemetery.
The cast bronze green plaques can be supplied in different sizes with a stem for planting in the ground - these are ideal for marking the sponsorship of an established tree or maybe placed in one of our well tended flower gardens.
Alternatively these plaques are suitable to be used as a way of marking a family grave should it not already have a stone memorial.
We have especially chosen a number of locations around the Cemetery for our handcrafted memorial benches which are available in two styles.
The Barfluer Formal Bench is available in FSC sweet chestnut from the Duchy of Cornwall Estate and is provided with one engraved memorial plaque.
The less formal Bradbury Woodland Bench is also made from FSC sweet chestnut and is provided with one engraved plaque.
We are happy to discuss specific requests you may have such as a favourite location or adding an engraved inscription on to the wood of the bench, adding an additional plaque or perhaps incorporating your loved ones ashes into the bench.
Following a grave burial there is a standard time of six to nine months before a memorial can be replaced or added to the grave. An unmarked grave can look incomplete and can sometimes be a painful reminder of those that we have lost and so we have introduced a range of temporary grave markers to mark the spot until the memorial is fixed in place.
The grave markers are in the form of a cross and are produced from solid oak or mahogany in three different sizes. They come complete with a choice of gold or silver laminate engraved plaque.
Alternatively please come and look ar out display in the West Lodge building. The display can be found on the ground floor of the West Lodge building, just to the right as you enter the Cemetery through the main gates just off the Bath Road entrance.
We have teamed up with Bristol Blue Glass who have launched a range of memorial jewellery for incorporating your loved ones ashes into a Bristol Blue Glass keepsake locket or piece of jewellery.
