A friendly, informal class designed for those of you that are at a desk bound for most of the day. Start your evening treating those postural habits of hunching with the back, straining neck and shoulders by stretching out and conditioning your core and spine.
Inspired by the principles of Forrest yoga, developed over 40 years by Ana Forrest, this style of yoga is specifically designed to address your core and the physical and emotional stresses and challenges that we face in our modern lives. Each class is carefully sequenced to work through the whole body from top to toe, inside and out. You’ll learn interesting breathing techniques to oxygenate every cell in your body and how this can help you to meditate into the holding of postures. We end every practice with a deeply relaxing full body scan (yoga nidra) to send you off into a relaxing evening.
This class is offered every week, throughout holidays and bank holidays since consistency is key to any practice. During the summer we practice outside in the beautiful grounds.
So bring your mat, water bottle and your picnic and come and join us! (if you’re new to yoga and without a mat then one can be provided if you contact in advance)
