A wide-reaching tour exploring the 45-acres of cemetery grounds.
More walk than talk, this wide-ranging tour explores the full extent of grounds of Arnos Vale Cemetery, from the 1830s cemetery’s boundaries to later expanded areas of burial ground in the 1860s and 1890s. The route includes steep slopes and steps for a healthy workout, with stories from the graves to discover along the way.
This event is taking place as part of Bristol Walk Fest 2018. Although there is no charge for the tour, a donation to Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust would be appreciated as we receive no council funding. All donations you give goes towards maintaining the 45 acre cemetery site and numerous listed buildings and monuments we have at Arnos Vale. We rely on a small staff and dedicated team of volunteers to continue this work and maintain the space for Bristol and the wider community
