Christmas Candle Lighting – a message of Light, Love and Hope

Christmas Candle Lighting – a message of Light, Love and Hope

Each year in December we would usually invite you to our Christmas memorial service and candle lighting in the Anglican Chapel, unfortunately last year we were unable to do this due to government guidelines.

Although 2021 has started to bring some normality back in to our lives, this year has still been a challenge for most of us. Due to the rise of COVID numbers again and staffing challenges, regrettably we are unable to provide our usual Christmas Memorial Service this year.

We would like to invite you to visit the Anglican Chapel between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday 12th December to light a candle and write a message to your loved one.

You are welcome to sit for a while and to take some time for yourself whilst Christmas Carols play in the background. I will be there to greet you on your visit.

There will be a Christmas message post box available in the chapel for you to write a message to those that can’t be with us this year – you can bring your own written message with you, or pens and paper will be available on the day.

Some of you will have lost someone more recently and some of you will still be grieving from many years past. We want you to remember that although life does go on, we recognise that it is different and can be difficult without all of our family by our sides. We hope that you will visit the chapel to take the time to think about those that are missing from our lives as you light your candle for them.

Wishing you the very best for Christmas and hoping that 2022 will bring positive change for us all.

    Cemetery Services Manager
