At Death Cafes we come together to chat about death in a relaxed, safe, social environment. The Bristol Death Cafe is currently being held online, on Zoom every month. For more information visit their Facebook page

Our objective is “To increase awareness of the reality of death, so we can enjoy feeling more fully alive“.

The conversations are always new and fresh. Each time we come together the changing mix of people ensures that you can come to any number of events and be guaranteed a vibrantly new and fresh experience each time.

==============================

A DEATH CAFE IS NOT A BEREAVEMENT OR GRIEF COUNSELLING GROUP

This is especially so for people who have experienced a recent and/or traumatic loss or death.

This sustains Death Cafes as comfortable, relaxed, and safe exploratory spaces.

Important to note:

  • Please respect the confidentiality of other attendees and ensure that your device screen can not be seen or overheard by individuals not participating in the meeting.
  • We will be using Zoom to host the meeting. If you have not used Zoom before we encourage you to acquaint yourself with it before the meeting. They have several helpful tutorials on their website.
  • The meeting will start at 10am and after Mary has completed her introduction the door will close to new attendees.
  • On entering the meeting you will automatically be placed on mute.
  • You are welcome to make a cup of tea at any time or leave early if you’d like to.

If you have any difficulties joining the meeting or you become disconnected at any point don’t worry, try closing the window and clicking the link again.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
