A what? A Death Disco is a life affirming event where you are invited to pick three songs that sum up the momentous or fun moments of your life, or just sums you up.
Even better we are holding it in a Victorian Mortuary Chapel.
So, we will invite you to choose the songs that remind you of someone you have lost, songs you would like played at your wake or just your favourite songs about death. Our master of music Jack Anderson will DJ from the choices and you can dance the night away.
Once you have bought your ticket, please send your three songs to firstname.lastname@example.org So get thinking. Suggestions so far: Madness – One Step Beyond, Bon Jovi – Blaze of Glory and The Who – My Generation.
Tickets are £8, and are strictly limited. There will be a bar provided by Kate’s Kitchen, so bring cash on the night.
Image has been kindly provided by Jimmy Galvin – ARTIST/COMPOSER/ CURATOR living and working in Bristol. He has exhibited alongside many leading international artists such as Sir Peter Blake, Damien Hirst, Julian Opie, Gillian Ayres, Anthony Gormley, The Chapman Brothers, Mark Wallinger and Howard Hodgkin. He is also a prolific composer of Neo Classical music. The “Death Disco” piece will be part of an Art and Music Installation on Fri 23rd Feb, 1-5pm.
