Digital death is a new problem and if you have any form of online footprint, it will affect you in some rather surprising ways.

Your online life will outlive you and will ensure you’re remembered for eternity. But in this age of fake news and cyber fraud, what happens if your online legacy gets hacked and messed with? Do data privacy laws apply once we die? How do you pass your online accounts and virtual assets to a loved one after you’re gone? None of it is as easy as you might think, so what do we do?

As part of Life, Death (and the Rest) this fascinating and interactive event, with digital death expert Paul Wiseall will explore exactly what this digital death thing is, how it will affect us all and help you take control of your unique legacy. Grab a coffee from the cafe and join us in the Spielman Centre.

Paul Wiseall is the UK Managing Director of Death.io, a Bristol based start-up which is working to solve the problem of digital death and other end of life issues. He is a TEDx speaker and co-host of the taboo breaking ‘SexDeathAnd…’ podcast. You can see his TEDx talk here
