Living and Dying Mindful Photography Workshop

Mindfulness Photography Workshop with Look Again
  • February 23, 2018
    10:00 am - 12:30 pm

In this Living and Dying Mindful Photography Workshop you will slow down and use photography, mindfulness, and walking to look again at Arnos Vale. You will learn to take notice and see the extraordinary in the ordinary – the invisible becomes visible.

As well as improving your photography skills this mindful photography workshop will help improve your health and well-being, increase your confidence and self-esteem, become more focused,  explore what living and dying looks like to you, and help you live your best life.

The photography side of things is kept simple, low tech and fun. Participants can use any device, from a mobile phone, tablet or a digital camera. The workshops are suitable for all abilities and levels of photography experience.

Testimonials from people who have attended Look Again Mindful Photography workshops:

“I loved it – a great way to unwind, look at the everyday in a whole new way. The pedestrian becomes extraordinary.” Nicky Connors

“A very different approach to taking photos. I felt free to really focus on what I was seeing and saw so much more. It reminded me to slow down and see the little moments of beauty of interest. To remember that these ‘bits’ of life are always there!” Jenny Barton

“A friendly, gentle, mindful approach to photography in a fantastic setting.” Adie Risborough

The workshop will be run by friend of Arnos Vale, Ruth Davey from Look Again. Ruth has many years’ experience in running photography workshops, as well as being a professional, published and commissioned photographer in her own right. Her business Look Again helps people to expand their vision and to see their lives, their work and their world with fresh eyes. She runs workshops and training for staff and clients groups in corporates, charities, universities, and schools. She delivers photography commissions as well as sells her photographs through her website.

The cost of this 2.5 hour workshop is £35, and there are only 10 places available. Please note that this event is subsidised by the Arts Council.
