Have you ever walked around a cemetery or graveyard and thought ‘I wonder how they died?’.  Well now’s your chance to find out. This is a rare daytime telling of this story, but it is still all about death.

This October hear about drownings and hangings, murder and unfortunate accidents, a ‘crinoline death’, diseases of the past such as cholera and smallpox, childbirth complications and fatal childhood diseases.

Join our expert guides who  will share some stories, drop some knowledge and open your mind to the ways people from the past met their end.

Warning: this tour is not for the faint hearted, and not suitable for children. This tour is not fully accessible and includes some steep slopes, muddy paths and steps.

This tour starts at the East Lodge
