10 – 10.45am: “Uh-Oh!” Said Flo

Join Uh-Oh! Books for an interactive story time created especially for the Storytale Festival. You’ll be the first to hear Flo’s journey in this premier of the first book in their series, “Uh-Oh!” Said Flo. You’ll have fun doing colouring and activity pages as you listen to this eco-friendly educational story. What’s more, you’ll learn how to take action to stop plastic pollution.

Suitable for ages 3-8.

Cost £3 per child and you can book them on Eventbrite

11 – 11.30am: Winter Sleep

Snuggle down, children, for a cosy woodland story with the authors of Winter Sleep, Alex Morss and Sean Taylor. You’ll follow a child and his gran through a winter landscape to explore how nature goes to sleep. You’ll have fun spotting the snoozing animals as the tale unfolds and learn all about their hibernation habits.

Suitable for ages 4-8.

Cost £3 per child and you can book them here

1.30 – 2.30pm: St Cuthbert’s Wild School for Boys

“He had no idea – not a single clue – that today would be the last day that ‘school time’ would mean anything like his particular school. Or, in fact, like any school he had ever heard of before…”

St Cuthbert’s Wild School for Boys is an exciting story of discovery for all children and everyone who cares about learning, play, nature and the wild. Come along and listen to an extract of the book. You’ll have the opportunity to chat to the author about her inspiration behind the book and the importance of creativity and freedom in education.

Suitable for 8-12 year olds and their parents.

Cost £3 per ticket and you can book them on Eventbrite

Arnos Vale Cemetery is not a fully accessible site. The tour route includes some steep slopes, steps, and muddy or uneven paths. Wearing warm clothes and sensible shoes is strongly recommended.
