Victorian Spiritualism Through a Steampunk Lens display

  • April 2, 2017
    11:00 am - 4:00 pm

As part of the Life, Death (and the Rest) event Bristol Steampunk Museum will be displaying its fantasy gadgets and curiosities in the atmospheric setting of the Anglican Chapel at Arnos Vale cemetery. The victorians were a very superstitious bunch and fervently believed there was life after death.  Local artists have designed steampunk contraptions inspired by the myriad bizarre instruments used by charlatans in the 19th century to contact the spirit world.   A few select items from the museum gift shop will be available for sale.
