Take a night time walk in the Cemetery learn fascinating facts about native owls with Wild Owl expert Ian McGuire, while you scour the skyline and listen for owl calls.
In the autumn, tawny owls advertise their presence in their territories by calling at dusk, sending a message to other owls to ‘keep away’. It is this behaviour that we tap into on the owl prowls as the group call to the cemetery’s resident owls to encourage them to fly close to the group.
Learn what owls need to survive, their habits and skills.
A magical evening for all. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of these graceful creatures flitting through the night.
Please note: No Dogs allowed – they can scare off the owls!
