As part of  ‘Women On The Move’ event for  Bristol Litfest   we are proud to put on our Wonderful Women Tour.

The lives of women in times past often elude the historic record. But where historical evidence can be found, the lives they led and the contributions they made to society make for compelling stories.

At Arnos Vale cemetery, we try to set the historic record straight on the with a special guided tour focusing on the interesting, talented, great and good women remembered here from Victorian, Edwardian and 20th century Bristol.

Arnos Vale Cemetery is the place of remembrance for an estimated 160,000 women and girls from Bristol’s history.

Warm clothing and sensible shoes are strongly recommended.

Arnos Vale Cemetery is not a fully accessible site.

This tour route may include some steep slopes, steps, and muddy or uneven paths. If you would like further information on accessing the site and buildings please contact learning@arnosvale.org.uk

Please meet at the Anglican Chapel for the start of the tour.

Tickets: We regret that we cannot exchange, refund or transfer tickets unless the event in question has been cancelled or rescheduled by Arnos Vale.

This is a replacement for the postponed tour on 18th March.  All tickets not refunded for that tour will be honoured.
