The lives of women in times past often elude the historic record. But where historical evidence can be found, the lives they led and the contributions they made to society make for compelling stories.
At Arnos Vale cemetery, we try to set the historic record straight on the with a special guided tour focusing on the interesting, talented, great and good women remembered here from Victorian, Edwardian and 20th century Bristol.
Arnos Vale Cemetery is the place of remembrance for an estimated 160,000 women and girls from Bristol’s history.
