New look cafe for Arnos Vale

Arnos Vale Cemetery will be re-opening their cafe under new ownership on Saturday October 1st following refurbishment work.  Taking over from Whisk! who launched the original cafe, Kate’s Kitchen at Arnos Vale will be a new venture for popular Bristol caterer Kate’s Kitchen, set up by founder and Chef Kate Ploughman in 2007.

The new look cafe will be serving a re-invented menu with a seasonal twist including gourmet sandwiches and baguettes, warm dishes and homemade cakes. There will also be a new ‘grab and go’ selection, serving the local offices around Arnos Vale with fresh and exciting lunches to take away.

Alongside the cafe, Kate’s Kitchen will be taking over the event catering at Arnos Vale, servicing the growing number of conferences meetings and events which take place in the stunning Grade II listed venues.

Mike Coe, Chief Executive of the Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust said “We are delighted to have Kate’s Kitchen take over the running of the new look cafe at Arnos Vale.  As one of Bristol’s leading caterers this will only enhance the food and drink offer we have at Arnos Vale, with a greater focus on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus.”

Kate Ploughman, owner of Kate’s Kitchen added, “‘The Kate’s Kitchen Team and I are very excited to be taking on this new venture of running the café and catering at Arnos Vale. It’s such a beautiful venue and so lovely to be working with the Trust and on a sunny day you would never think you were in the middle of Bristol. We are also doing Lunch deals at £5, Monday to Friday which is great for office workers!  The cafe will be serving homemade cakes, wholesome and hearty food with delicious coffee and a great selection of drinks, 7 days a week.”

Kate’s Kitchen at Arnos Vale is open 10am – 4pm, seven days a week and is located in the heart of Arnos Vale Cemetery, a popular heritage attraction with walks and trails providing an insight into the history of Bristol.
