Garden of Rest Hedge Appeal

We are delighted to announce that we have reached the goal for the Garden of Rest Hedge appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of many kind donors in the last year, £8,500 has been raised to replace the hedging that has been destroyed by box caterpillar.

To preserve the tranquillity & beauty of this garden, we plan to replace the box hedge with English yew hedging, which is more resistant to disease.

The new hedging will be an elegant and enduring alternative, befitting of the Garden of Rest.

We will be undertaking works in 2025 and will update the website and inform visitors with more detail after we have confirmed timescales for this work.

Thank you once again to everyone who supported this appeal, ensuring that the Garden of Rest can be returned to its former glory, providing a fitting boundary to this important space.
