FUNERALS AND WAKES
You may hold a religious or non-religious memorial gathering here.
A funeral or remembrance service can be held in the lower part of the cemetery in the Anglican Chapel or the Underwood Centre.
Our Grade II listed Anglican Chapel, with its simple classic interior, is a beautiful setting. It holds up to 100 people seated with some room for standing and is fully accessible.
For those wishing to feel close to nature, we have the Underwood Centre. Halfway between the Spielman Centre and the Natural Burial Woodland, the Underwood has a small outdoor covered area amongst the trees and can hold up to 30 people seated with room for standing outside of the covered area.
For those holding a natural burial in the Natural Burial Woodland, and wishing for something less formal, you can hold a graveside service or use the uncovered woodland standing area for a small ceremony.
Receptions & wakes
A reception or wake can be held in our Spielman Centre, with its elegant Victorian architecture. The Spielman holds up to 50 people for a seated meal, or 100 for a standing buffet.
You may hire the building from an hour to a full day. We can help to arrange music on your behalf and will provide you with a list of our catering partners for you to choose from.
