Arnos Vale is a Site of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI) and is managed and cared for to increase flora and fauna. Maintaining the conservation of the land is key to all activities here.
Foraging is allowed for personal use, but not for commercial use (eg restaurants).
Please contact us for permission to forage. Email info@arnosvale.org.uk or call us on 0117 971 9117 with the species, frequency, and quantity you’re interested in.
We welcome donations from people foraging here. As a charity, all donations help us protect and care for this special place - and this includes conserving the wildlife and vegetation.
During your visit
- Please don’t stand on graves.
- Only take a small quantity – a small sandwich bag - to help conserve the foliage.
- Use a sharp tool so there’s no accidental damage to roots of plants.
- No plants are to be dug up.
- Leave no trace. Be mindful not to trample plants or disturb wildlife.
- Collect from more than one area.
- Avoid areas marked “Danger, no access”
- If you’re ever unsure of what you’re picking, don’t forage: plants and fungi can be poisonous.
Thank you for your support.
