Free public toilets reopen at Arnos Vale Cemetery

We’re delighted to announce that the free public toilets at Arnos Vale Cemetery, located by the café in the Spielman Centre, have been fully refurbished and are now re-opened for visitors. These much-used facilities, originally installed over 14 years ago, had seen heavy wear and tear—especially in recent years when many public toilets elsewhere in the neighbourhood were closed during the pandemic.

Thanks to the generous support of the John James Bristol Foundation and a donation from the Friends of Arnos Vale Cemetery, we have been able to refurbish all the cubicles and handwashing facilities, ensuring they remain clean, welcoming, and durable for years to come.

Local construction firm Ralley has done an excellent job installing high-quality, long-lasting amenities that will withstand the demands of our 500,000+ annual visitors, including wedding parties, school trips, heritage tours, and funeral services.

So next time you visit Arnos Vale, stop by the Spielman Centre to check out our refreshed facilities—and why not enjoy a cup of tea or a snack at the café while you’re here?

Every penny you spend helps us preserve and maintain Arnos Vale Cemetery for generations to come.
