What we need you to do

You’ll have the initiative to adapt to the needs of the group and be keen to promote our work. You’ll have the ability to accurately remember the tour content. You’ll be able to follow simple instructions and safety procedures, reporting any general maintenance issues and incidents. You’ll be respectful to the cemetery and those remembered here. You must be physically mobile and able to negotiate uneven, and occasionally wet and muddy ground.
What we offer you in return
You’ll have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to this special place, helping people learn about local history. You’ll learn about the history of the cemetery and all the exciting things that happen here. You’ll gain valuable experience working with the public and public speaking and will be part of a positive team of great people who all share a passion for the cemetery.
We’ll provide full training and induction – no experience is necessary. You’ll have regular support and supervision from the Public Engagement Manager. Once you’ve completed six months in the role, we’ll provide you with a reference.
