April 7, 2017Arnos Vale fundraising for new community gardens
June 8, 2017We are very much looking forward to hosting our first Wellness Fair on Sunday 20th August, here at Arnos Vale – the perfect opportunity to talk to local therapists and learn about natural health and beauty products. Come and meet Leanne to learn more about Forever Living products, Bea and David from Bards of Avalon – passionate about the positive impact of sound therapy on people’s lives, enjoy gluten free cake from Katy’s Cakes and have an Indian Head Massage with Hannah Stuart-Leach. Local hypnotherapist Marie, from Prestige Hypnotherapy will be there to discuss overcoming your fears or phobias or to help you make other positive changes in your life, and the wonderful Karen Marie will be playing her guitar on the Spielman portico. The team from Willow Chiropractic will be on hand to offer advice about posture and lifestyle, as well as giving a free posture screening service using iPads and free exercise demonstrations. Chat to Sarah from Mariposa Coaching about managing your time more effectively, or even how to deal with conflict in relationships positively and Alex from Be Therapies about the benefits of reflexology. Plus look out for the Jump Fit crew bouncing around the site!
On Friday 18th August the fabulous Scarlett of the Fae is running a Healing with the Body Mirror Workshop, Emily Wingrove from RoveYoga is hosting a candlelit yoga session and there will be a Bards of Avalon Sound Bath in the Anglican Chapel. Also, John Irving returns from Devon to offer a mini-workshop to give time for a few Yoga practices, some reflection for future direction and learning… “and a wee break to catch-up too”!
On the Saturday night the wonderful Becky Walsh will be doing her Stand Up Intuitive Show. Interacting with the audience she answers some of life’s most difficult questions by turning them into a self-help comedy routine. Never mocking, always up beat. Sharing some life changing insights and using science and intuition to show to the audience how brilliant their own brains are – all three of them. Not to be missed!
Join Ruth Davey from Look Again on Sunday 20th August at 11am for an Introduction to Mindfulness Photography. In this workshop you will use mindfulness, walking and photography to look again at the world around you. You will learn to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary. As well as improve your photography skills, the workshop will help you slow down, reduce stress and improve your wellbeing.
